A bill introduced last week in the House of Representatives and would expand access to chiropractic services to military retirees, dependents and survivors through the Department of Defense TRICARE health program.
It would also establish, in the wake of the nationwide opioid crisis, an important non-drug option for pain management in the program.

Senate Panel Urges Pentagon to Increase Troop Access to Chiropractic
This is the latest of several reports by Congress urging the Dept of Defense to increase the use of chiropractic care for the treatment of combat injuries stating that musculoskeletal injuries are twice as common as combat injuries. Chiropractors now practice at 60 military facilities.

Brigadier General Becky Halstead Calls for Chiropractic Care
The Congress has been urging the Department of Defense for many years now to fully integrate chiropractic physicians into the military. The DOD unfortunately has been very slow to do this, but progress is slowly being achieved as more military are getting access to chiropractic care.
