I unfortunately see much very poor medical reporting by the media.
Below is what I think is an extremely well researched article by someone who understands research analysis. It covers current findings on common screening tests, the over prescription of drugs, and the overutilization of surgery. U.S. to Force Drug Firms to Report Money Paid to Doctors
This is another benefit from the new healthcare law. I think it will be very beneficial as many researchers have found evidence that such payments can influence doctors’ treatment decisions and contribute to higher costs by encouraging the use of more expensive drugs and medical devices which also cause more harm to patients.
